Why we ask why you’re here

We ask this question because this information helps MustardHub make a few sensible assumptions during onboarding to make things easier for you.

Similar to selecting your industry, it allows the system to:

• Highlight relevant features during setup
• Use examples and language that better match your intent
• Skip configuration paths that are unlikely to be useful

This input is used once during setup and is not something you’ll manage later. Your selection is treated as background context only. It may influence what’s emphasized during onboarding or shape some of the prompts we provide.

It does not shape long-term behavior such as creating metrics, measuring outcomes, generating reports, or controlling access or visibility.

Telling us why you’re here

After selecting your industry, you’ll see a screen asking you to choose up to three options that best describe why you’re here.

You’ll be presented with options such as:

• Increasing team engagement
• Boosting employee retention
• Strengthening a culture of appreciation
• Recognizing milestones and achievements
• Improving cross-team collaboration
• Supporting wellbeing and inclusion

Select up to three, or add your own if needed. There’s no need to optimize this choice. Pick what feels broadly accurate and continue.

• Is this used to evaluate teams or people later?
  No.

• Will I see or manage this again?
  No. This step is part of the initial setup only.

• What if our focus changes later?
  Don’t worry about it. The longer you use MustardHub, the less impactful this information is. 

• Does this need to align with the Organization’s strategy or values?
  No. It’s simply a snapshot of why you’re starting.
